Revision Femoral Stem TARGOS™

The titanium alloy TARGOS™ HAP revision femoral stem is intended for second-intention cementless implantation, indicated for simple loosening until massive destruction of the upper extremity of the femur.

Its 12/14 taper allows for a wide selection of femoral heads: short, medium or long necks, 22.2 or 28 mm diameter, in stainless steel or CoCr, 28 mm diameter in Ceralepine 28, 32 or 36 mm in Biolox Delta alumina.

A bioactive titanium-hydroxyapatite bilayer coating is applied using a vacuum plasma spray technique with an excellent industrial control.

If required, a long stem called "rescue" (300 mm) is available.

Operating techniques

Collar with HA coating, on the calcar for better control of the sinking and rotation of the stem as well as an exceptional distribution of stresses at the interface.

Design optimising metaphyseal filling but compatible with an intrafemoral approach, without putting the greater trochanter at risk.

Range adapted to various femoral anatomies and indications.

Locking instrument offering, if necessary, the optional placement of 2 cotter pins in the distal portion.

Cemented revision stems complete the range : a mirror polished finish prevents any alteration of the cement mantle in case of micromovements.
