MARC. K™ Greater Trochanter Hook

The stainless steel MARC. K™ greater trochanter hook is used during transtrochanteric approaches, which aim to maintain the integrity of the musculature and restore its balance.

Its association, with an oblique double cerclage, represents the ideal treatment of pseudarthrosis (non-union) of the greater trochanter.

Operating techniques

IPF_crochet-marcK1.jpg

An effective design: anatomical contour, thickness for sufficient rigidity, three rectangular section hooks with rounded edges for easy insertion without altering the muscle fibres and ensuring a firm trochanteric hold.

Capture2.JPG

Tightening through the eyelets to bring the hooks in contact with the bone using two cortical screws inserted in the diaphysis, on either side of the prosthetic stem.

Capture3.JPG

Range of 3 lengths to meet the anatomical characteristics encountered.
