Perfect score for QUATTRO™ PNP

We are proud and pleased to announce that our QUATTRO™ PNP double mobility cup just earned the score of 5A* from the ODEP (Orthopaedic Data Evaluation Panel).

The ODEP is an organisation founded in 2002 by orthopaedic surgeons and non-clinical experts with a significant experience in the orthopaedic industry. This organisation scores results from hip, knee and shoulder orthopaedic implants over years based on various criteria such as the quality of the provided studies: the amount of addressed centers, of patients and their follow-ups, and the revision rate. The grade is composed of:
- a number for the years of observation of the results
- a letter A*, A or B for the strength of evidence, A* being the highest

Created in the United Kingdom, the ODEP has gradually become an international reference in the world of orthopaedic surgery with over 250 graded prostheses. Before its creation, there was no way of listing implants by their results. Today, manufacturers have their prostheses graded by the ODEP according to the amount of years of observation (3, 5, 7, 10, 13 and soon 15 years). This panel makes possible not only to judge an implant by its quality but also by its efficiency over time.

Since 2011, the ODEP is associated with the CE marking conditions to bring together their expertise and merge their common goals. As an organisation constantly evolving, the ODEP is working on being able to grade revision and hemi-arthroplasty implants.
