Trapeziometacarpal Joint Prosthesis MAÏA™




The MAÏA™ prosthesis is designed for prosthetic surgical treatment of rhizarthrosis.

It consists of a hemispheric cup implanted in the trapezium, a modular neck and an anatomical metacarpal stem. It offers a full range of implants with the choice of single and dual mobility.

It has a bilayer coating of porous titanium and hydroxyapatite for cementless fixation.

Titanium neck are available for persons who are allergic to nickel in single mobility.

The trapezial cup is hemispherical with 4 pins for primary stabilisation.


It comes with either a standard or semi-retentive polyethylene (PE) insert for single mobility

3 offset stem sizes with head are available in dual mobility.


In single mobility, the choice of straight or offset stems allows for a better anatomical adaptation.

There are 4 homothetic sizes of metacarpal stems. They are anatomical, with small stabilisation scales along the longitudinal edges.
